Tis the Season

Two Big Boys

A few weeks ago Max made the move to a big boy bed.  He did so good and seems
to love the change.  It was a change for Chase as well as he gave Max his bed with
the rails and moved to a bed with no rails.  He wasn't sure at first, but it didn't take
long to get used to it.  Sweet dreams!

Trying out his new bed.

 All tucked in.

Almost turkey time....

Love....

Crayons

Lately, the boys have been really into drawing and it is so much fun
to see what their imaginations come up with.

For example Chase's bear with antlers.

A sweet love note for Mama : )

and of course Rainbow, our family's elephant.

About a year ago, I tried out this tutorial from The Pleated Poppy and made Chase this crayon role for the car.  He has never really played with it too much until lately and now he LOVES it.  He has added a bunch more crayons so he will have plenty of color options and he stays very busy on all of our road trips.  Now I need to make Max one too.

Chase's Fire Truck

This one came from the collaborative efforts of Daddy & Chase and was
to me while I was in Romania via Skype.

Not be be left out, this guy is quite the artist as well.  He enjoys coloring on paper, but he also specializes in body art.  You should have seen the work he did on his legs the other night following his bath.  Priceless!

Happy Halloween!

This year we celebrated Halloween big time.  We put up some funky fun decorations, carved some sweet pumpkins and even made some sticky green slime just for fun.

Chase decided to keep with his birthday theme and rocked the Batman costume, while Max decided that costumes just aren't his thing, at least not yet.  After three or four attempts at different levels of costume coverage, it became clear, that Max was happy just being himself and who can blame him with that cute little mug.

Seriously....

What are we feeding this guy?!?  Look how much he has grown in the
past year, specifcially in the past seven months....Crazy!

Swoon.....

Calling All Super Heros!

We had a wild and wooly time on Saturday at Chase's 5th birthday party.

We decided to try a bouncer rental and low and behold, it was a ton of fun and HUGE.  Spiderman was looking right into our second story dining room window and it was a little creepy : )

Five Years Old

I can't help it.  I am one of those Mama's who wants to cry because my baby has hit one of those big milestone birthdays.  He is five years old today, no longer a little guy and according to him, he is a big kid now.  How can this be?  He really is getting so much bigger both physically and in thought.  Sometimes he comes up with the craziest questions or notices things as we are driving that I would have never spotted.  Our Chase has a good heart and I can easily say he is a very kind and thoughtful person.

For the memory book.....At five years old, Chase loves super heroes, Scooby Doo, dinosaurs and Transformers.  As you can tell from the picture, he is sticking with his plan of being a cowboy when he gets a little older and he can't wait to drive the sweet Bronco Grandpa Jim has given him.  His favorite food is pizza, make that Meat Lovers Pizza, because that is what he and Daddy like best.  Chase enjoys riding his bike and scooter, playing games and putting puzzles together.  He is a big fan of the garden and especially harvesting all the pumpkins we planted this year.  He has lots of friends at school, but his favorite playmates of all besides his brother are his cousins.  He loves them all to pieces.

Happy Birthday Buddy!  We love you sooooooooo much!

Fun Fall Day

Last Saturday morning we headed to Ellensburg for a full day of Fall fun.  We
grabbed Grandma Karen and all the cousins and headed to Andrerson Farm,
soccer games and finally Dusty's Pumpkin Patch.  It was a really fun day.

Max LOVED the straw maze and it was practically impossible to drag him away
from it to try other fun activities.  I think he must have gone through the maze 30+ times.

One of my personal favorites was the bobbing for doughnuts at Anderson Farm.
It was hilarious to see the kids trying to grab the doughnuts with no hands.

Don't be alarmed, this is just Chase, not a real tiger.

We ended the day at Dusty's Pumpkin Patch and guess what Max loved....the corn maze.  He whipped through that maze through every twist and turn and even made his own path a couple of times.  Honestly, I was pooped by that time in the day, but Max wasn't and just when I saw the light at the exit of the maze and thought phew, Max wheeled around and dove back in all the way back to then entrance.

Racing Day

Every time we go to Grandma and Grandpa's house we pass the Yakima Speedway and we have always talked about wanting to go.  We finally did it and it was so much fun and really really loud.  Max came with us for a while too, but he got sleepy and with all the noise, I took him to go cuddle with Grandpa Jim for a while.  Chase loved the race thanks to his cool red ear muffs.  We will definitely be going back again next year.

Father's Day

Ok, I know this is months late, but I just did a camera dump
and found a bunch of cute stuff.  Enjoy!

Little Neighbor

This guy is living in the flower pot on our front porch.  Dan discovered him
last week and he has been there ever since.  It makes me wonder if he has
been there all summer and we didn't even know it.  Keep on keepin' on little
buddy and catch all the bugs before they come inside!

Labor Day Weekend in pictures.....

 The End!
