Still playing catch up....

Ok, so I know that the 4th of July was about three months ago, but I am playing a little catch up on my blogging. We spent the 4th of July weekend at the River House this year and it was as fun as always. The boys loved on Kenai and Angus and played all day in the sun and sand. This year we tried our hands at a sea food boil and it was so yummy. I also tried to get in the spirit of the holiday with a red, white and blue cheese cake which was pretty darn great. We lined up our lawn chairs in our own backyard for the perfect view of the fireworks. A little odd that we were freezing enough to be in sleeping bags and wear hoods on the 4th of July, but we didn't let a little cold stop us from enjoying the fun. We played a fierce round of eye spy while we waited and I think Chase was the big winner : )

The Great Outdoors

This summer we went on a family camping trip and had so much fun.
I haven't had a chance to blog about it, so better late than never : ) We headed over to Sequim in July do to some crabbing and camping. The weather was beautful, the scenery was gorgeous and the crab was amazing. We cooked it right over the camp fire and it was by far the best crab I have had.
These are some of the friends we met at the Olympic Game Farm. If you haven't heard of it, we would highly recommend it for a family road trip. The game farm is a drive through zoo basically, but at this zoo you get to feed the animals : ) The animals actually insist you feed them as you can can see from some of the close up pics above.

Over all the trip was awesome. We all had a ton of fun and the
boys loved camping and hanging out wtih our family in the great outdoors.

GO COUGS!

We have been talking about doing a Pullman trip for a long time now and last weekend we finally did it. We stayed in the dorms, toured around campus and reminisced about the old days. It was a long trip, but the boys were troopers. We made it to Ferdinand's for some ice cream and then headed to the football game wearing crimson and gray from head to toe :) Chase's favorite part of the whole weekend was hearing the crowd
on the right of the stadium yell "GO" and the crowd on the
left of the stadium yell "COUGS!"

Happy Birthday Joe!

Cousin Joe just celebrated his 6th birthday with a rodeo party! His mom & daddy did such a great job with all of the games and fun stuff, which included pony rides, shooting a BB gun and the grand finale....find the candy in the straw. My personal favorite part was the amazing cake (the bandana part is cake too)!Happy Birthday Bud! We love ya lots!

And they call the thing a rodeo.....

We spent Labor Day weekend taking in all of the fun one little town could give. We invited our good buds the Brown's to come join us and togheter we took in the parade, rodeo and fair.

Sarah got some awesome shots from the rodeo.
It was the first time at the rodeo for the Brown's
and it was so much fun watching them take everything in.
Here are the cousins taking their turn at bull riding.

And finally, my favorite little cowboy tried his hand with the bull!

So much fun....

Dan and I have started a tradition recently of doing Cousin Sleepover nights every few months. We did one earlier this spring that included going to dinner, smores at home, a crazy game of flash light tag and finally everyone sleeping out down in our basement.

The sleepover includes all the Eburg cousins, Taya, Savannah & Joe and then of course Teagen. Chase lives for his cousins, so these weekends are a particular treat for him.

The second sleepover was a couple of weeks ago and we had so much fun it will be hard to top. We started out the afternoon with a swim party at mom and dad's, then our plan was to head to the dirt race track for some car races, but for some reason they were canceled. We made a quick decision to head to the local family fun center and I am so glad we did. As you can see from the pics we had a ball. First thing we did was hit the bumper boats. Even Max got in on that action as he helped steer our boat around the little pond. He was none to happy about being squirted by his cousins, so we tried to hang around the edges. Daddy and Aunt Angela were great sports and got soaked along with getting all the kids completely wet. Next was the go-carts....HA....so fun. You can barely see Chase waving from the blue car above, but he loved it. From there we headed over for some mini golf and finished up with the arcade.

Before the cousins even arrived for the party, Chase explained that Joe would be sleeping in his room and the girls would need to find somewhere else to sleep. He cracks me up! Chase's, 'No Girls Allowed' comment gave me a great idea and the girls and I stayed up to watch a chic flick after all of the boys went to bed.
We all had a ton of fun and Chase is already making plans for the next cousin sleep over.

Our sweet baby boy....

Max is growing up so fast. It is amazing to see him do new things everyday. His latest trick is pointing at things that he wants or likes. It is so nice to have that small level of communication with him. He loves to clap for everything he is proud of or when he likes something. One of his favorite things is throwing or rolling a ball between us. Each time he rolls the ball or catches it he claps and squeals, it is so sweet. He loves his big brother and they play really well together for the most part : ) Another one of Max's favorite things to do is drive. It doesn't matter if it is Chase's 4-wheeler or Daddy's truck, if it has a steering wheel and buttons to push, Max is all over it.

Sooooo blessed!

One of the things we are the most thankful for in this whole world is our grandparents. You couldn't ask for more loving and supporting grand/parents.
My folks watch the boys three days a week for us and the boys can't wait to get to their house in the mornings. As we start pulling into mom and dad's driveway, Max starts waving his arms and legs and squealing for Grandma & Grandpa. Chase watches for Grandma to come running out of the house as she does every morning and he yells "GRANDMA" at the top of his lungs.
Labor Day weekend we went to a parade in Ellensburg and there was no getting Max down from Grandma Karen's lap. And just this morning we stopped by Grandpa & Papa's house and they weren't home. Chase was so upset, that we drove all the way down to the River House to visit with them for a few hours.
I love to see the boys interact with thier grandparents. It makes my heart happy to see both the kids and the grandparents getting so much joy from being together.
Happy Grandparent's Day to the
Grandmas, Grandpa & Papa that we love so much!
