Catching up.....

Ok....this post is in reverse order, but you will get the just of it : ) I am going to start posting on a more regular basis now that we are getting into our zone as a family of four : ) We will start off with Happy Halloween (weeks ago I know, but work with me here, lol). Chase was so excited to dress up as Tex this year. Tex is his favorite character from GEO Trax which is his train set. I think Tex is his favorite because he is a cowboy AND an engineer.
This is is our sweet Max at the pumpkin patch.

Our best buddies from Seattle came over for a visit and we all went to the pumpkin patch. It was an awesome day, but I think the kids favorite part was the fresh pumpkin doughnuts!

Chase and Grandma Sandy

Our big boy turned 3 at the end of October. It is hard for me to believe, but we had a ton of fun celebrating his birthday with a pirate themed birthday party.

All the kiddos.

The pirate ship cake Chase and I made.

Chase got to carve his first pumpkin this year and it turned out really cute.

Max is growing like a weed. Our little guy is a very social and smiley baby.

Hadsome little devil....isn't he : )

And finally we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a trip to Port Ludlow. It was a goregous weekend and we had so much fun. We went to dinner, relaxed and went kayaking.

All about August....

Since I haven't had a chance to blog a lot lately, here is a quick peak at what we have been up to.

Growing.... Max is now wearing size six month clothes at the ripe old age of 9 weeks. Apparently he is taking after his big brother already.
Playing......Chase, Max and their cousins went to Remlinger Farm and had a great time.

Visited the River House.....we have spent a lot of time at the River House this summer and had do much fun.

Bonded..... there has been a lot of brotherly bonding going on at our house. Chase loves giving his little bro kisses and holding his hand.

Flying.....we had so much fun swimming at Grandpa and Grandma's pool. Chase LOVES when Daddy throws him in the air. He is a little fish and does so well in the water.

Our new normal....

I am sorry to be so slow in updating this blog, but we are all still adjusting to our new normal. Max has been with us for four weeks as of tonight and I think we are starting to find our groove and adjusting to life with a little guy and a big boy. Chase has taken to being a big brother with ease. He always wants to know where Max is and Max gets lots and lots of kisses and loves from his brother during the day.
So far Max seems to be a pretty cool little guy. He fusses when he is hungry and maybe a little after his belly is full, but other than that he is pretty mellow. He seems to like sitting in his chair or on his Boppy and just checking everything out.
People have been asking if Max looks like Chase and for the most part, common opinion is yes, but I think they each have their own looks. I will post some comparison pictures soon so you can see for yourself.

Welcome Max James!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to post, but having two little boys to keep up with is something new for us : ) What an amazing experience we have had and how very blessed we are. Chase and Max are both beautiful, amazing little boys and we are so very proud they are ours. Max weighed 8 lbs and 11 ounces.

That is 10 ounces bigger than Chase was when he was born. When Max came out the doctor laughed and said, "You two make big babies!" Dan and I looked at each other and thought how can he be talking about this tiny little peanut that was being handed to Dan :)

Having a little brother is quite an adjustment for Chase, but he has been so loving and a wonderful helper. When he first met Max, he wasn't quite sure what to do and he acted a little shy. A minute later a nurse walked into the room and he shouted,

"THIS IS MAX....HE IS MY BABY BROTHER!!!"

It was one of those priceless moments.

Daddy and his boys.

Our beautiful happy family of four : )

Cafe' Bugni

One of the things on Dan's 'to do' list before baby brother comes was to make a Bugni Family favorite for the freezer. Here is daddy teaching Chase how to make homemade raviolis.
He is a natural!

Gina's Wedding

On June 20th we went to our friend Gina's wedding. It was a beautiful
wedding, but we especially enjoyed the reception. Chase is quite the
dancer and he led the charge to the dance floor that evening.

The date of June 20th had a special meaning for us because it
was the one month to go marker to Baby Boy Bugni #2.
We are going to have our hands full, but it will be so much fun!

For the love of spaghetti!

Chase may have gotten bigger, but the guy still loves to grub on his spaghetti!
1 year old

2 1/2 years old

Full steam ahead!

Our basement is really coming along. We started with a framed in open space when we bought our house and now, it is almost a completely finished down stairs (with a little help from our friends and a lot of determination on Dan's part). We have a great storage room down there and this is a picture of Chase building the shelves for it and Dan helping : )

Memorial Day Weekend

There isn't anything much better than sunshine, cousins, water and smores!
Poor Dan was the only adult brave enough to face the cold water and let the kiddos play on the Sea Doo's. I stuck my pinky toe in the river and decided it was MUCH too cold for me!

Just back from a cruise up the river....HA HA

Wrapping the evening up with a little campfire and some yummy smores : )

Boots!

What is it with little boys and boots? These rubber cowboy boots have become a must wear accessory with this little boy and it doesn't matter if he is wearing pants, shorts or pajamas.

It's been a while....

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog. We have been busy around here working on our basement, playing at the park, getting ready for brother and swimming at the river and in Grandma and Grandpa's pool. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful, sweet little boy to love and play with everyday. Lately, when we tell Chase how big and tall he is getting he will respond very sincerely, "Well, I am going to be a big brother soon." Priceless!

She's crafty

So I don't know if it is being pregnant or what, but lately I have been a little crafty. I found the template for an elephant on one of the blogs that I read and BINGO, we have a theme for the baby's room. I didn't stop there though. My friend Sarah helped me pick out some elephant clip art and that is how I created my little friend in the first picture. I think he needs a little something more, but I am not sure what. What do you think? If you peaked at the template, you probably noticed it was for just one elephant, but I thought it would be cute to make our whole family, so this is my version. It makes me smile.

And because I wanted to do something fun for my big boy's room, I dreamed up this fellow. Chase has been into robots lately and this was a simple and fun project. I began with a canvas and started laying down blue painters tape and suddenly this guy popped out. A coat of red and he was done. Chase seems to like him and that is what is the most important.

Finally, we have a problem. If you walk into Chase's room, this is what you will see over the closet. Chase points it out to us about three times a day. We CAN NOT figure out how to get his S to stay up. We have tried more tape which does fine with the other letters, but the S always falls down. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here is the culprit!

A beautiful weekend...

Last weekend was Mother's Day and I got to choose the agenda for the whole weekend. Saturday morning we headed down to the Bugni Family River House, one of my favorite places to be. The river house has been in Dan's family for about 20 years and it is one of those places that you can just go and get away from it all. Our own personal Margaritaville, but with no margaritas for me this summer : ) Chase played by the water for hours....see this treasure that he found.

This is Chase doing a little fishing.

Do you know how cold this water is in May? He had no probelms with it at all.

Look at this view....truely amazing.
We finished our weekend off at my folks house with a really nice brunch and a lot of family to visit with. I couldn't ask for a nicer Mother's Day Weekend.
